The DAYA BAY and LING AO nuclear power plants in CHINA are operated by the DNMC company and comprises 4 units. Daya Bay 01 & 02, Ling Ao 01 & 02 are standard French 900 MWe plants. Since 1999, GNPJVC then DNMC have been in touch with EDF and other institutes in order to acquire a tool to manage efficiently FAC. In the scope of the Operation Cooperation Agreement, between DNMC and EDF, and to response to the DNMC request for the Management of Flow accelerated Corrosion : “ BRT CICERO^TM “ has been supply in 2004. EDF provided a technical support service for the 4 units and defined as follow:

1. Software adaptation, V2.2 & implementation,
2. Training program in China,
3. Expert Training program in France,
4. Database technical support,
5. Final assessment.

          The modelling of the main piping subjected to FAC, has been carried-out by DNMC staff from June 2004 to March 2005. Since the initial training, needed parameters for building the data base have been correctly collected and the justification files (document paper) have been drawn-up, with good quality and tracability During this period, 2 follow-up missions conducted with the support of EDF have been held in order to check the quality of the input data bases. DNMC has been given various pieces of advice and transferred of know-how from the EDF expert team on site. Then, EDF-DPN has implemented a dedicated Hot-Line, to answer questions, solve problems from Chinese users. Today, DNMC entity is running with BRT-CICERO version 2.2b. More than 900 U.T inspections have been carried-out and collected enable the site to trend and optimise efficiently the BRT-CICERO inspection programmes. Two operating experience feed back related to “preferential Attack on weld” and “steam operating condition degradation” will be presented during the conference.
