FAC overview at NEK NPP FAC is well known issue at Krško plant. First events took place back in 87 and 88 with steam leaks on large bore pipes on Extraction Steam system. At that time plant decided to provide some preventive ultrasonic measurements without any program. In 1992 some specific locations were modeled with CHACMATE program. A specific inspection program was developed. Till 2007 three revisions of program were made. Plant started to use CHECWORKS software for prediction analysis. EX steam system was 80 % replaced and some specific degraded components on other systems were also replaced. Today issue is long term program for replacement of small bore piping with diameter less than 2 inch.
