Guidelines for Speaker

Dear FAC2008 conference speakers.
Thank you very much for your participation in the FAC2008 Conference.
In what follows, we would like to provide instructions regarding your presentation at the conference.
All documents like papers, poster presentation or other documents should be submitted by Email to severine-marie-externe.friol@edf.fr



 ABSTRACTS

  •  Abstracts to be published on the FAC2008 website and in the Handout must be submitted in English before January 31st, 2008. After this deadline it will not be guaranteed abstracts to be published in the Handout.

  • For Abstracts submission, please fill in the Speaker registration form available on the FAC2008 website.

  • Abstract should contain 1200 characters maximum. It should state clearly the objectives, subject matter and conclusions to be presented in the full paper.

  • Please include the title, author’s name (eventually co-author’s name), company affiliation, a complete mailing address (address, state or region, city, postal code and country), a phone number, and e-mail address, if available.

  • Please submit a series of keywords that describe the contents of your paper to assist with editing and indexing. Some technical topics are proposed in the Speaker registration form.

  • Once the accepted abstract, a mail will send to you for confirmation.


SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY (optional)

  • A short biography of the speaker can be send via the Speaker registration form at the same time as the abstracts submission.
  • This biography will be published on the website and the Handout.

  • It will be also used during the introduction of the speaker at the conference.


 FULL LENGTH MANUSCRIPT

  • Please submit your final paper before February 15th, 2008.

  • The manuscript must be sent in English and in Microsoft Word electronic format.

  • The length of the manuscript should not exceed 10 pages, including annexes.

  • Please include the title, author and eventually co-author's name, company affliliation, a complete mailing address (address, state or region, city, postal code and country), a phone numberand Email address, if available.

  • Full length Manuscript will be published only in the Handout.

  • PowerPoint presentations for oral session could be used as technical papers to be published in the Handout.


POSTER

  • In order to efficiently communicate to the viewers, you could display your know-how by using poster.

  • The dimensions of your poster should be submitted before February 15th, 2008. If accepted, a confirmation mail will send you in brief delay. All posters are published in the Handout.

  • Posters could be put up on the day before the conference or 30 min before the session.

  • Posters will be displayed for the entire duration of the conference.


ORAL PRESENTATIONS

  • Oral presentation PowerPoint should be submitted before February 15th, 2008.

  • Presentations may only be given as PowerPoint or .pdf presentations. No other audio-visual medium (e.g., slide, or overhead) or software will be available.

  • All presentations must run on the Windows operating system.

  • All papers received by the deadline will be included in the handout that will be provided on check-in at the registration desk. Speakers are requested to concentrate on key points and conclusions, as attendees can obtain background information from the Handout.

  • If you are unable to submit your presentation by the due date as result of the technical difficulties, special arrangements will need to be made with the FAC2008 committee.

  • Each oral presentation will be 30 minutes length including 5 minutes of questions. A warning will be given during your presentation.

  • Conference organizers will load all presentations on the conference computer. Speaker will NOT be allowed to use their own laptop computers.

    Please bring one copy of your presentation to the conference on a CD-ROM or USB media storage device. This copy is to be used as a backup by you and the conference organizers if required. Make sure your CD-ROM and presentation file are properly labelled with the tile of the presentation and full name (last name_first name).

  • The conference provide lasers pointers and microphone. Please bring your presentation available on a DVD or a USB storage device.
