To minimize the risk of pipe rupture it is important to develop a good knowledge of FAC, to evaluate the risk of each pipe section of the installation and to apply appropriate maintenance programs. In order to spread out as width as possible the existing experience and know-how on all aspects of FAC and its surveillance, EDF DTG organized an international conference on FAC in Lyon, France, from March 18 to 20th, 2008. Operators, searchers, engineering or service providers, vendors had the opportunity to attend technical presentations, to see Non Destructive Examinations (NDE) exhibitions and to get up to date information, with the goal to improve the quality and security of steam-water piping...
