Cruise Gala Dinner - Wednesday March 19th, 2008 - 8:00 pm

All conference attendees are warmly invited to take part in the Sightseeing cruise with gala dinner aboard the luxury Hermès boat on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008.

The Cruise Gala Dinner is offered to all Conference participants and 60€* /accompanying persons over 18 years old.

During the trip, discover the charm of the Saône while enjoying your meal. Ascent of the Saône along side the Old district (From St Georges to St Jean), at the foot at the Fourvière hill: the largest Renaissance district after Venice.

Continuation towards Vaise, an 18th century district and then onto the Ile Barbe, a small forested island.
This tour is full of historical references.

Lyon Guided Tour - Thursday March 20th, 2008 - 4:30 pm

In the afternoon, guided Tour of Lyon is offered to all participants and accompaniying persons by the FAC2008 Committee.

You will discover the Renaissance district, listed by the Unesco, and by the organisation 'Historical Monuments", one of the largest of its kind in France. The tour enables you to see Jean's cathedral and the astronomical clock and then the district itself with its narrow streets and inner courtyards.

You will discover "the Traboules" (covered passageways) winding down the hill of the Croix-Rousse. There, the silk workers used to live.

Meeting place : Novotel Hotel Hall 4:30 pm

Departure by bus : 4:45 pm
A bus will take you with two bilingual guides to the visit meeting place ( The Old Lyon)

Visit departure : the Old Lyon at 5:30 pm
Visit End : 7:00 pm
Return by bus to Novotel Hotel : 7:30 pm

Visit duration : 2h00

Note that the cruise Gala dinner and Guided Tour of Lyon are included in the 250 € conference registration fees. Only accompanying should pay a participating fees :
